Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 24-year-old Arthur Jordan of Buffalo has been sentenced by Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case to 2 ½ years in prison followed by 2 ½ years post-release supervision.

On July 14, 2016, Buffalo Police officers approached the defendant to ask about an alleged threat he made to kill police officers on Facebook and found an illegal gun in his possession.

Jordan pleaded guilty to Attempted Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree before Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case in March 2018.

Jordan was also charged by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Facebook post, and those charges are pending.

DA Flynn commends Buffalo Police Officers Mark Hamilton, Joseph and Michael Acquino and Adam Wigdorski for their thorough investigation.

Assistant District Attorney Ashley M. Morgan of DA Flynn’s Tactical Prosecution Unit prosecuted the case.
