Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 16-year-old Ibrahim McBryde of Stanislaus Street in Buffalo has pleaded guilty before Erie County Court Judge Thomas Franczyk to two counts of Criminal Sex Act in the First Degree. 

The defendant admitted to forcibly sexually assaulting a teen-aged girl.  The defendant abducted the victim from her home and threatened her with a knife and several guns.  He forced her into a vacant house on Lathrop, where he held her captive and sexually assaulted her for several hours. 

McBryde faces a maximum prison term of 25 years when he is sentenced August 24, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. by Judge Franczyk.  

DA Flynn commends the professional response of C district officers as well as the investigative work of Detective Donna Benitez and Detective Julie Ledwin of the Sexual Offense Squad of the Buffalo Police Department. 

Assistant District Attorney Bethany A. Solek of the Special Victims Bureau successfully prosecuted the case.
