Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that Town of Cheektowaga Councilman James Rogowski pled guilty yesterday to one count of Attempted Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree, a misdemeanor, for his knowing violation of a court-ordered no-contact Order of Protection.

On February 23, 2018, Mr. Rogowski followed the victim/his wife in his vehicle in an aggressive manner by changing lanes to maintain pursuit of her vehicle and causing her to be fearful of imminent physical injury.

Rogowski faces a maximum of 90 days in jail and/or one year probation when sentenced by Judge Haendiges on November 13 at 11:00 AM.

DA Flynn credits the work of Lt. Brian Gould and Sgt. Kaleb Harte of the Cheektowaga Police Department for their work on this case.

Chief Holly P. Tucker of the DA’s Domestic Violence Bureau prosecuted the case.
