His co-defendant, 34-year-old Ryan J. Miller of West Seneca pleaded guilty to one count of Grand Larceny in the Third Degree (Class “D” felony) and one count of Scheme to Defraud in the First Degree (Class “E” felony).
Between January 10, 2018 and April 26, 2022, the defendant stole merchandise from home improvement retailers and other big box stores throughout Western New York. Miller, who previously worked as a patrol officer with the West Seneca Police Department, admitted to stealing approximately $31,734.39 in merchandise from various retailers.
Following his guilty plea, Miller is no longer employed by the West Seneca Police Department.
Miller faces a maximum of 7 years in prison when he is sentenced on Monday, March 27, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. He remains releases on his own recognizance.
