Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 25-year-old Bishop Williams of Leroy has been sentenced by Acting Erie County Court Judge James A. W. McLeod to 5 years in prison.

On October 26, 2017, the defendant and co-defendant 29-year-old Michael Perez of Buffalo robbed 7-11 stores on Dingens Street and Parkside Avenue in the City of Buffalo.

Williams pleaded guilty to two counts of Attempted Robbery in the First Degree.

Perez pleaded guilty to two counts of Attempted Robbery in the Second Degree. He was sentenced by State Supreme Court Justice John L. Michalski to 3 years in prison on June 21, 2018. The defendant will be required to serve an additional three years for an undischarged term of parole.

The case was prosecuted by Mara L. McCabe, Chief of the DA’s Felony Trials Bureau, and by Assistant District Attorney Katharine S. Lavin of the DA’s Special Victims Bureau.
