Defendant Indicted for Fatally Stabbing Victim Inside His Kilhoffer Street Home

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 30-year-old Reginald M. Branch, Jr. of Buffalo was virtually arraigned yesterday afternoon before Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case on an indictment charging him with on one count of Murder in the Second Degree, a Class “A-I” felony.

The defendant is accused of fatally stabbing 50-year-old Damion O. Jones inside the victim’s home on Kilhoffer Street in the City of Buffalo on December 1, 2020.

Branch is scheduled to return on Monday, May 10, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. He continues to remain held without bail.

DA Flynn commends Det. Sgt. Chris Plizka and Det. Ray Krug of the Buffalo Police Department for their work in the investigation.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Ryan D. Haggerty of the DA’s Homicide Bureau.
