Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 20-year-old Tony S. Golden of Buffalo has been arraigned before State Supreme Court Justice Russell P. Buscaglia on an indictment charging him with one count of Murder in the Second Degree, a Class “A-1” felony, one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a Class “C” violent felony, and one count of False Personation, a Class “B” misdemeanor.
It is alleged that on December 20, 2019, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the defendant shot 22-year-old Vincent Cramer with an illegal gun multiple times on Floss Avenue in the City of Buffalo. The victim died from his injuries.
During the course of the investigation, the defendant allegedly knowingly provided law enforcement with a false name.
If convicted on all charges, Golden faces a maximum of 25 years to life in prison. He remains held without bail.
A return court date has not been scheduled at this time.
DA Flynn commends the Detectives Mark White and Scott Malec of the Buffalo Police Homicide Squad for their work in the investigation.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Eugene T. Partridge, III of the DA’s Homicide Bureau.
As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
