Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 35-year-old Breanna Rohauer of Forestville pleaded guilty before State Supreme Court Justice Christopher J. Burns to six counts of Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, Class “D” felonies, and one count of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, a Class “E” felony. The defendant pleaded guilty on February 20, 2020.

Between November 17, 2017 and February 4, 2019, the defendant, while employed as a teller at a local bank in Hamburg, admitted that she made unauthorized withdrawals from the bank accounts of several elderly customers, totaling $124,736.00 in fraudulent transactions. The victims were reimbursed by the bank.

Rohauer faces a maximum of 46 years in prison when she is sentenced on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at 9:30 a.m.

DA Flynn commends Detective Widman of the Town of Hamburg Police Department for his work in the investigation.

The case was prosecuted by Chief Candance K. Vogel of the DA’s Special Investigations and Prosecutions Unit.
