Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 27-year-old Adrian Jones of Buffalo has pleaded guilty before Erie County Court Judge Michael A. Pietruszka to two counts of Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, two counts of Identity Theft in the First Degree and one count of Scheme to Defraud in the First Degree for stealing money from several First Niagara bank accounts. 

While working through a temporary agency in a First Niagara call center, Jones stole caller’s personal identification information and used that to later access their bank accounts and transfer funds to accounts he controlled. The total loss for the nine accounts he accessed is $15, 492.59.  First Niagara/Key Bank reimbursed the victims. 

Jones faces a maximum sentence of 2 1/3-7 years in prison when he is sentenced on April 5, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. by Judge Pietruszka.
