Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 47-year-old Krista B. Schultz of Snyder was sentenced to one year in jail for violating the terms of her probation by Supreme Court Justice Christopher J. Burns.

Schultz was originally convicted of Grand Larceny in the Third Degree in October 2015 for misappropriating $27,567 from Oracle Charter School in the City of Buffalo while serving as Chief Financial Officer. Schultz was sentenced to five years of probation.

As a condition of her probation, Schultz was required to make monthly payments to the school as restitution. Schultz violated the terms of her probation by failing to make monthly payments. Over $21,000 is still owed to Oracle Charter School.

Assistant District Attorney Christopher P. Jurusik, who is assigned to the Special Investigations and Prosecutions Bureau, prosecuted the case.
