Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 38-year-old Andrello M. Brown of Buffalo was sentenced this morning before Erie County Court Judge Susan Eagan to an indeterminate sentence of 25 years to life in prison. He was sentenced today as a second felony offender.

On April 12, 2020, at approximately 5:00 p.m., the defendant intentionally shot the victim once in the back of the head with an illegal handgun. The incident occurred outside of the victim’s grandmother’s home on Stockbridge Avenue near Parkridge Avenue in the City of Buffalo. The victim, 41-year-old Clint Reeder, was taken by ambulance to ECMC where he died from his injuries. The defendant and victim were involved in ongoing dispute involving a female.

A jury found Brown guilty, as charged, of one count of Murder in the Second Degree (Class “A-I” felony) and one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree (Class “C” violent felony) on June 28, 2022. The jury rendered their decision after 3 hours of deliberation following a 6-day trial.

Today, Brown received the maximum sentence of 25 years to life in prison for the murder conviction. He also received the maximum sentence of 15 years in prison followed by 5 years of post-release supervision for the gun charge, which will run concurrent to his sentence on the murder charge.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Ryan D. Haggerty of the Homicide Unit and Assistant District Attorney Megan E. Mahoney of the Felony Trials Bureau.
