Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 25-year-old Eric Mitchell of Buffalo has pleaded guilty before Erie County Court Judge Sheila DiTullio to two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree for dealing heroin out of his home. 

Back in July 2016, Buffalo and Lackawanna Narcotics Officers executed a search warrant at Mitchell's residence in the Central Park area of the city where he lives with his girlfriend and child.  

While there, the officers recovered a quantity of heroin mixed with fentanyl, which weighed approximately one ounce.  The officers also recovered two digital scales with heroin residue on them.  

Mitchell faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in state prison when he is sentenced by Judge DiTullio on July 13, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. 

DA Flynn credits the outstanding investigative work of the Narcotics Bureaus of the Buffalo and Lackawanna Police Departments. 

Assistant District Attorney James W. Mansour, II of the DA’s Narcotics Bureau prosecuted the case.
