Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that a jury before State Supreme Court Justice Deborah Haendiges has returned a guilty verdict against 36-year-old Robert Healy of Buffalo on three counts of Rape in the Second Degree, two counts of Criminal Sexual Act in the Second Degree and one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. 

The panel convicted the defendant of engaging in sexual intercourse and sexual conduct with a minor child under the age of fifteen from June 1, 2014 through May 31, 2015. 

Healy faces a maximum of 20 years in prison when he is sentenced by Justice Haendiges on June 15, 2017 at 11 a.m. 

DA Flynn commends the Buffalo Police Department for its thorough investigation, including Officer Maurice Foster and Detectives Adam Stephany and Melanie Neureuther of the Sex Offense Squad. 

Assistant District Attorneys Anthony Rossi and Cathleen Roemer from the DA’s Special Victims Bureau prosecuted the case.
