Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 24-year-old Ronald Amos of 16 Wilson Street in Lackawanna has been found guilty by a Buffalo City Court jury of Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct stemming from an incident on Chippewa Street in Buffalo. 

The three-day trial was before Buffalo City Court Judge Diane Wray. 

On June 18, 2016, after being denied entry to Bottoms Up club for inappropriate dress, the defendant became belligerent with the bouncer and was told to leave the area by Buffalo Police Department Officers Joseph Littere and Dennis Taylor, both of whom were assigned to the Chippewa Street detail.  

The defendant refused to disperse and stood in the middle of Chippewa Street repeatedly yelling expletives at the officers while gesturing (twice) that he was shooting the officers with a long gun. 

These gestures were observed by Lt. Douglas Kopp who promptly attempted to arrest the defendant; however the defendant refused to comply and had to be forcibly subdued. 

Amos faces up to a year in prison when he is sentenced by Judge Wray on March 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.
