Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael, J. Flaherty, Jr. announces 27-year-old Brandon Medley of Buffalo has been sentenced to 12 years in prison by State Supreme Court Justice Deborah Haendiges.
In June, a jury convicted Medley of the following charges: Burglary in the Second Degree, Criminal Contempt in the First Degree and three counts of Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree.
On four occasions during 2014, the defendant violated the order of protection against the victim. During an incident in July 2014, he forced his way into the victim’s home, striking her and putting his hands around her neck. The following day, Medley violated the order of protection by calling the victim from the Erie County Holding Center. He also twice violated the order of protection against the victim in August of 2014 and during one of those incidents, tore her shirt and spit in her face.
