Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 45-year-old Heather Jenkins of Town of Tonawanda pleaded guilty before State Supreme Court Justice John L. Michalski to three counts of Robbery in the Third Degree, Class “D” felonies.

The defendant admitted that between February 25, 2019 and March 11, 2019, she aided her husband in forcibly stealing property from three gas station convenience stores in Amherst and Town of Tonawanda.

Her husband and co-defendant, 46-year-old Justin Jenkins of Town of Tonawanda, pleaded guilty to six counts of Robbery in the Second Degree, Class “C” violent felonies, on May 30, 2019. He admitted to forcibly stealing property from six gas station convenience stores in Amherst, Kenmore and Town of Tonawanda by displaying a BB gun.

Heather Jenkins faces a maximum of 21 years in prison when she is sentenced by Justice Michalski on Monday, November 4, 2019 at 9:30 a.m.

Justin Jenkins faces up to 45 years in prison when he is sentenced by Erie County Court Judge James Bargnesi on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 9:30 a.m.

DA Flynn commends the Town of Tonawanda Police Department, including Detectives Thomas Falsone and Jeffrey Campanella who arrested both defendants. The DA also recognizes Detective Alan Fell from the Kenmore Police Department and Detectives Dan Quinlin and Thomas Thielman from the Amherst Police Department for their work in the investigation.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Rachel L. Newton of the DA’s Felony Trials Bureau.
