Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 41-year-old David Link of West Seneca pleaded guilty before State Supreme Court Justice M. William Boller to Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree.
On December 21, 2017, New York State Parole Officers discovered approximately $22,000 cash in defendant’s bedroom dresser drawer and more than ½ ounce of cocaine in a jacket during a search of his home.
The investigation was turned over to the West Seneca Police and a warrant was obtained to search the defendant’s home and vehicles. A K9 officer assisted and found 35 pounds of marijuana in the defendant’s van and 2.2 pounds of cocaine, commonly referred to as a kilo, inside the garage.
The defendant has a history of criminal convictions, including felony narcotics convictions from 2005 and 2012.
Link faces a maximum of 14 years in prison when he is sentenced on May 4, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. by Justice Boller.
DA Flynn commends New York State Parole Officer Keith Healy and Detective Sean Donohue of the West Seneca Police Department for their thorough investigation.
Assistant District Attorney Justin T. Wallens of the DA’s Narcotics Unit prosecuted the case.
