Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 41-year-old David Link of West Seneca was sentenced to six years in prison by New York State Supreme Court Justice M. William Boller for a conviction of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree.

On December 21, 2017, New York State Parole Officers searched the defendant’s parole registered address where he was living with his wife.  During the search approximately $22,000 cash was found in the defendant’s bedroom dresser drawer.  The parole officers then found more than ½ ounce of cocaine in a jacket which was hanging in a closet.  At this point, the investigation was turned over to the West Seneca Police.  A search warrant was obtained to search the defendant’s home and vehicles.  A drug sniffing dog assisted the West Seneca Police to find 35 pounds of marijuana in the defendant’s van and 2.2 pounds of cocaine, commonly referred to as a kilo, in the garage.   

Defendant has a history of criminal convictions including felony narcotics convictions from 2005 and 2012.
