Buffalo Man Gets 25 Year Prison Sentence For Deadly Shooting

Acting District Attorney Michael J. Flaherty, Jr. announces that 39-year-old Demario Washington of Buffalo was sentenced by State Supreme Court Justice Christopher J. Burns to 25 years in prison plus five years post-release supervision. 

In June, Washington pleaded guilty to Manslaughter in the First Degree. 

On January 29, 2016, while inside the home of the victim at 1 Curry Walk, Buffalo, Washington fatally shot 55 year-old Elroy Damidaux.

Acting DA Flaherty commends the Buffalo Police Department for their investigation, especially Homicide Detective Timothy Salamone. 

Assistant District Attorney Gary W. Hackbush prosecuted the case.
