Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 19-year-old Kearra Bailey of Buffalo has pleaded guilty before State Supreme Court Justice Christopher J. Burns to Manslaughter in the First Degree. 

On November 20, 2016, Bailey stabbed 19-year-old Shaundez Davis, the father of her 1-year-old daughter, once in the back after an argument in her home at 937 Broadway in Buffalo. 

Bailey faces up to 25 years in prison when she is sentenced by Justice Burns on August 15, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. 

DA Flynn commends the investigative work of Detectives Scott Malec and Mark White of the Buffalo Police Homicide squad. 

John Patrick Feroleto of DA Flynn’s Homicide Bureau and Assistant District Attorney Ryan M. Flaherty prosecuted the case.
