Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 20-year-old Jake Klocek of East Aurora has pleaded guilty before Erie County Court Judge Michael Pietruszka to Manslaughter in the Second Degree. 

On November 6, 2016, at 101 Dorris Drive in Elma, the defendant, who was 19-years-old at the time, recklessly caused the death of 19-year-old Anthony King of Elma by shooting him. 

The defendant faces a maximum indeterminate sentence of 5-15 years in state prison when he is sentenced by Judge Pietruszka on September 28, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. 

DA Flynn commends the investigative work of the Erie County Sheriff’s Department including Senior Detective John Graham, Detectives Jonathan Hanna, Shaun Hediger and Matthew Noecker. 

Chief Colleen Curtin Gable of the DA’s Homicide Bureau and Assistant District Attorney Noha A. Elnakib prosecuted the case.
