Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 21-year-old Corey Sieh of Boston, NY has pleaded guilty before State Supreme Court Justice John L. Michalski to Vehicular Assault in the 2nd Degree in a drunk driving crash that injured his passenger.

On June 5, 2017 at approximately 8:52 p.m., the defendant, while having a .13% BAC, was driving on Holland-Glenwood Road in Holland, NY when he lost control of his car on a curve and crashed. 

His passenger, 25-year-old Cody Michalski of Boston, NY, sustained serious physical injuries as a result.  Those injuries included a broken jaw, which was wired shut for an extended period of time, broken cheekbones and broken teeth. 

Michalski (no relation to the judge) was at ECMC until June 17, 2017.

Sieh faces up to four years in prison when he is sentenced by Justice Michalski on December 1, 2017 at 9:30 a.m.

DA Flynn commends the Erie County Sheriff’s Office for its thorough investigation.

Chief Kelley A. Omel of the DA’s Vehicular Crimes Bureau prosecuted the case.
