05/24/2013

Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced that 54 year old Brenda J. Puccia of 134 Ontario Street, Buffalo, pleaded guilty this morning to Scheme to Defraud in the First Degree and Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, as charged, before County Court Judge Thomas P. Franczyk.    Puccia owns a property management company known as ADI Property Services, LLC. Puccia admitted that during the period March 1, 2012 through July 31, 2012, while employed by two New York City property owners to manage rental properties they own in Buffalo, she stole approximately $29,850 by collecting rents from the tenants and using the money to support her gambling habit.

The matter was referred to the District Attorney’s Office by New York State Senator Mark Grisanti and the case was successfully prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Susan H. Sadinsky, of the Special Investigations and Prosecutions Bureau.

Puccia faces a maximum prison term of 4 years when she is sentenced before Judge Franczyk on August 7, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.
