Erie County Legislator Chris Greene recently presented a proclamation to the owner of Uncle Jumbo’s American Vodka, Nick Kotrides, recognizing May 22, 2021 As Uncle Jumbo’s American Vodka Day in Erie County.
Uncle Jumbo’s American Vodka is a scratch distillery in Clarence Center that uses American grain grown by local famers that results in a farm to bottle American spirit. In April 2020, Uncle Jumbo’s American Vodka paused the production of vodka and began mass producing hand sanitizer and generously donated 20,000 bottles to FeedMore WNY to help keep members of the community safe from the COVID-19 virus.
Legislator Greene said, “When the COVID-19 pandemic hit Western New York, Uncle Jumbo’s American Vodka stepped up to the plate to help out the community by donating thousands of bottles of hand sanitizer to FeedMore WNY. That is the definition of a class act. Thank you to Nick Kotrides and everyone over at the distillery who works so hard to make a positive impact on the lives of many. Keep up the great work!”
