Erie County Legislator Chris Greene recently honored Missy Babiarz and Babz BBQ on their one year anniversary. Babiarz first began sharing her culinary skills in 2015 and shortly after took her creations on the road around Western New York with a custom made food truck titled Babz BBQ.

After winning multiple awards for pulled pork, BBQ ribs, chili, chicken wings and a pierogi themed dish, Babiarz opened her first brick and mortar location on February 3^rd, 2020 at 15 Monroe Street in the Village of Akron.

Legislator Greene said, “Congratulations to Missy Babiarz and everyone over at Babz BBQ on a very special anniversary. Perseverance, determination and personal sacrifice was the secret recipe to staying afloat during the COVID-19 pandemic which forced many small businesses to close their doors. I wish you nothing but continued success in the future. I can’t wait to get my hands on some more of that mouthwatering BBQ in the near future!”
