Erie County Legislator Chris Greene recently honored the Humbert House restaurant on its ribbon cutting. The Humbert House is a staple on Main Street in Clarence with rich history—first opening its doors in 1863 and serving the community in many roles such as a church, private residence and a pharmacy.

The new, renovated space offers 16 tables and 10 seats at the bar offering farm-to-table dining with food sourced from the farmers market located across the street. The menu is filled with meals such as Beef Tartare, Korean Fried Chicken, Seared Scallops and Roasted Duck Breast just to name a few.

The building is owned by David and Kathy DeRose who are leasing the space to Russell Salvatore, Jr. Executive chef/partner in the venture is Salvatore LaTorre who is no stranger to the small business community as he is the owner of Moon Burn Farm, also located in Clarence. 

Legislator Greene said, “It is so great to see the Humbert House open its doors once again to serve the Clarence and surrounding communities—this time as a restaurant where neighbors, near and far, can come together and share a meal and conversation. Nothing makes me happier than seeing small businesses open in my district and positively impacting the local economy.
