Erie County Legislator Chris Greene recently secured a used 2017 E350 Ford Phoenix wheelchair van for the Amherst Senior Transportation Services – a not-for-profit created by the Town to provide transportation for adults 60 years and older. This program is run through the Amherst Department of Senior Services through its Going Places van service. The wheelchair van will be used to replace a vehicle in the Department’s Going Places fleet

Legislator Greene said, "The Department of Senior Services provides excellent services to older adults in Erie County and they want to have the ability to reach even more seniors; with this wheelchair van, they will be able to do just that."
