Erie County Legislator Joseph C. Lorigo announces that, with unanimous approval of the Legislature on Thursday, June 6, 2013, the Boys and Girls Club of East Aurora and Boys and Girls Club of Holland will receive Summer Primetime funding to support programming.

“The organizations receiving Primetime Funding have proven to be an asset to our young people. The programs offered keep youths engaged in activities during the summer recess and provide a safe and structured option for families,” said Legislator Lorigo.

Legislator Lorigo also noted the approval of funding for organizations that benefit the entire county, including Greater Niagara Frontier Council – Boy Scouts; Girl Scouts of WNY; Be-A-Friend - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erie County; WNY United Against Drugs & Alcohol Abuse; and others.

Determination of Primetime funding is coordinated through the Department of Social Services and the final proposal is requested by the County Executive’s Office.
