Legislator Lorigo announces Senior Outreach Meeting at Elma Senior Center

Erie County Legislator Joseph C. Lorigo, in partnership with the Department of Senior Services, will host a Senior Outreach Meeting to provide information on services provided to senior citizens throughout the county. The event will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 30 at the Elma Senior Center, 3007 Bowen Road, Elma.

“The County has a variety of services available to seniors, including transportation, adult day care, home delivered meals and counseling programs. Through this Outreach Meeting, attendees can ask specific questions about what programs could benefit them and learn about services they may not be aware of,” said Legislator Lorigo. “This is a good opportunity for residents to receive personalized attention and learn how the County’s Senior Services Department can best assist them.”

Legislator Lorigo thanks the Elma Senior Center for hosting the event and partnering with the County to make residents aware of the programs available to them.

“Bringing the information to residents at the Elma Senior Center makes learning about programs and signing up for services more convenient. Through outreach programs and informational meetings, we can best serve the residents,” added Legislator Lorigo.

A representative from the Department for Senior Services will make a short presentation to the group and then take questions and meet with residents.

“Our staff welcomes this opportunity to meet with the residents of Elma and to have a chance to highlight the many wonderful programs and services available in Erie County,” said Patricia Watson of the Erie County Department of Senior Services.
