Legislator Lorigo Helps Students Make Cards for 8th Annual Valentines for Veterans Program

Legislator Lorigo teamed up with students in his district to make cards for the 8th annual “Valentines for Veterans” program. Each year, legislators collect thousands of valentines and distribute them to the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station and other veterans’ posts throughout Erie County.

“I am proud of all the students who participated. Even at a young age, they realize veterans and active members of our armed forces are important members of our community who deserve honor and respect. I always look forward to helping them make these cards and it is so rewarding to see how much our veterans and servicemen and women appreciate them,” said Legislator Lorigo.

Legislator Lorigo collected valentines from the following schools:
- Queen of Heaven School
- Allendale Elementary
- Colden Elementary
- Clinton Elementary

All of the students’ cards were individually handed out to members of the 107th Attack Wing at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station on Valentine’s Day.
