Majority Leader Joseph Lorigo has released a statement following the County Executive’s announcement he has approved the local Concussion Law:

“The local law approved unanimously by the Legislature addresses many concerns related to head injuries in youth sports and aiding athletes who are hurt during play. I am pleased that the County Executive supported this law and thank him for his suggestions on how to improve upon it. Going forward the Legislature will take the necessary steps to ensure the final version of the county’s ‘Concussion Law’ is beneficial to coaches, players and leagues.”
