Erie County Legislator Joe Lorigo announces construction on East and West Road in West Seneca will begin Monday, February 24.

According to Erie County’s Department of Public Works, one crew will begin work between Leydecker and Union Road with two additional crews joining March 2nd. Temporary signals, flaggers, and detours will cause delays in the area. The project is expected to be finished sometime this summer. It is anticipated work will be done between 7am and 5pm each day.

Legislator Lorigo said, “I am relieved to hear work is finally beginning on East and West Road. There have been many frustrating delays and I have been regularly meeting with residents to hear their concerns. My office has been in close contact with the department of public works to push for this project to be completed. Hopefully, we will have a finished road this summer. I will continue to monitor its progress and provide any updates as necessary.”
