Erie County Legislator Joe Lorigo announces the county will be hosting a free rabies vaccination clinic for pet owners next month. The clinic will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 4-7pm at the West Seneca Highway Garage, 39 South Ave.

The following requirements must be met in order to attend the clinic:

  • Pets must be at least three months of age to receive a rabies vaccination.
  • Proof of previous rabies vaccination must be provided to receive a three-year certificate, otherwise a one-year certificate will be issued.
  • All dogs, cats, and ferrets must be restrained using a leash and/or pet carrier.

Legislator Lorigo said, “Protecting ourselves and our pets is important. I encourage pet owners to take advantage of this free service in order to prevent a rabies outbreak from occurring in our communities.”
