Legislator Meyers Announces Legislativce District 7 Funding in 2019 Erie County Budget 

Erie County, NY – The 2019 Erie County Budget was formally enacted by County Executive Mark Poloncarz on Monday December 10th. Passed with bipartisan support, the adopted budget decreases the county’s overall tax rate, funds public health programs, invests in infrastructure improvements, and increases funding for community and cultural organizations.

Legislator Tim Meyers is proud to announce the following awards:

  • $10,000 to the Cheektowaga Youth Center for continued efforts
  • $10,000 for North Cheektowaga Athletic Association for youth programming
  • Cheektowaga baseball will receive $6,000 this year to supplement their budget
  • $4,000 to the Cazenovia Neighborhood Library
  • The Cheektowaga Historical Association will be receiving an additional $4,000 than originally proposed, bringing their total award for 2019 to $5,000
  • Additionally, the South Buffalo Irish Feis along with the South Buffalo Baseball Association and the Irish Cultural Folk Arts Association of WNY received over $40,000 total from Erie County

Legislator Meyers noted that, “The County Budget showed our commitment to the people of Erie County by investing in children, infrastructure, and community organizations. I am proud to support these organizations and look forward to working closely with them throughout the year.”
