Erie County Legislature Chairman John Mills reminds residents that Erie County Clerk Chris Jacobs is teaming up with AAA of Western and Central New York to offer a “Passports on the Move” outreach event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29th at the AAA Travel & Insurance Center located at 3475 Amelia Drive in Orchard Park.

Applicants will need to bring proof of citizenship such as an original or certified copy of their birth certificate, a previously issued passport or original naturalization certificate and proof of identity, such as a current New York State driver’s license or non-driver I.D. Passport photos can be obtained on-site for AAA Members for $10. Those who attend the outreach will be able to apply for a passport card and/or book and can expect to receive their passport in approximately 4-6 weeks.

Passport applications, a list of all required documents and a schedule of fees is available by visitingwww.erie.gov/passports, or by contacting the Erie County Clerk’s Office at (716) 858-8866. Payment can be made by check or money order only, credit cards cannot be accepted. Appointments are required and can be scheduled by contacting the AAA Orchard Park Travel & Insurance Center at (716) 362-7742.
