Erie County Legislator John J. Mills announces the schedule for his 6th Annual Hot Dog Roast Fundraisers to support the library branches in his district.
In total, these popular events have raised more than $20,000 to support ongoing efforts to provide quality programming and materials at each of the branches in Legislator Mills’ District. With the new 11-district map taking effect in January 2012, Legislator Mills’ territory was expanded and includes many of the library branches in the southtowns.
“These hot dog roasts are very well attended; the community comes together to support the library and has a great time. Many of the events feature music, baked good sales, book sales and other activities,” Legislator Mills said. “If you have never been to a Hot Dog Roast Library Fundraiser, mark your calendar and plan to attend this year. And if you have attended in the past, thank you for your continued support. I am looking forward to firing up the grill and hosting the roasts once again. With my new district, I had to add several roasts to the schedule and look forward to bringing this fun event to those communities for the first time.”
