Boston Free Library, North Collins Hot Dog Roasts details

Erie County Legislator John J. Mills announces that this year’s Boston Free Library’s fundraiser will feature Nickel City Reptiles and Exotics, a wildlife program that showcases amazing exotic mammals and reptiles. The library’s Hot Dog Roast Fundraiser will be held from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 14 at the library, 9475 Boston State Road, Boston. Nickel City Reptiles and Exotics’ show will begin at 6 p.m.

 

Also happening this month is North Collins Hot Dog Roast fundraiser from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 26 at the library, 2095 School Street, North Collins. The event will also feature a bake sale from 4 to 7 p.m. and a performance by “In Jest” at 6 p.m. “In Jest” features Nels Ross and his comedy variety show showcasing incredible juggling and edge-of-your-seat stunts.

 

At both fundraisers, Sahlen’s hot dogs will be sold for $1 and Italian sausage for $2; both meals include a bottle of spring water. The events are held rain or shine.

 

“These are wonderful community fundraisers with great food, people and entertainment. Please plan to stop by and support your local library,” said Legislator Mills. “We held the first fundraiser of the year at Collins Library on June 8 and the attendance was great. Thank you to everyone who came out to the support the library.”

 

Legislator Mills has been hosting Hot Dog Roast Fundraisers in his district for seven years with nearly $40,000 raised. Proceeds from the fundraiser directly benefit the host library, helping to support its mission of supplying quality programming and materials to patrons.
