Chairman Mills announces Valentines for Veterans program

Erie County Legislature Chairman John Mills is proud to recognize the schools from his district that participated in the 2016 Valentines for Veterans programs. The students created hundreds of handmade cards that will be sent to the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, local American Legion posts, and retirement homes to thank our veterans and servicemen and women.

“This program is a unique opportunity to directly connect our young people with veterans and military personnel. I think it is critical that we teach our youth the importance of thanking and honoring members of our military, and this is a simple way we can do that. The Valentines for Veterans program reminds those who served or are serving that their sacrifice and commitment is appreciated,” said Chairman Mills.
