Erie County Legislator John J. Mills and District 11 library directors announce the schedule for his 10th annual Hot Dog Roast Fundraisers to support the library branches. In total, these popular events have raised more than $57,700 to support ongoing efforts to provide quality programming and materials at each of the branches in Legislator Mills’ District.
“I am excited to announce the schedule for the 10th annual Hot Dog Roast fundraisers. It is incredible that we have been hosting these events for a decade now and it is amazing to see how large they have grown. I want to thank the library directors, their staff, volunteers and everyone who attends these events for their support. Hope to see you at there,” said Legislator Mills.
Fundraisers will be held on the following dates:
- Thursday, June 16, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., at the Boston Free Library, 9475 Boston State Rd., Boston
- Saturday, June 18, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., at the Town of Collins Public Library, 2341 Main St., Collins
- Tuesday, June 28, 5 – 6:30 p.m., at the North Collins Library, 2095 School St., North Collins
- Friday, July 8, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Angola Public Library, 34 North Main St., Angola
- Wednesday, July 13, 4:30 – 7 p.m., at the Eden Library, 2901 E. Church St., Eden
- Thursday, July 14, 4 - 7 p.m., at the Concord Public Library, 18 Chapel St., Springville
- Friday, August 12, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., at the Orchard Park Library, 4570 S. Buffalo St., Orchard Park
“We are excited to kick off the 2016 season and look forward to having everyone at the Boston Free Library on June 16 for a great event. We’ll have a performance by Charlie and Checkers at 6 p.m., a 50/50 raffle and raffle prizes for kids,” said Lydia Herren, Boston Free Library Director.
The price remains the same as it was from the first event in 2006 - hot dog and water for $1. Also available is the Italian sausage and water combo for $2.
Each event features special entertainment and other activities.
