Erie County Legislator John J. Mills, R-Orchard Park/Aurora/Springville, reminds residents that Erie County has established nine easily accessible sites for the National Prescription Drug Drop Off Day. Over-the-counter and prescriptions drugs will be collected, no questions asked.
“National Prescription Drug Drop Off day makes it easy for anyone with unwanted or outdated prescriptions to dispose of them properly. Please check around your home and take these items to any of the nine sites located throughout Erie County,” Legislator Mills said.
Medications, prescriptions and over-the-counter pills and liquids from residential homes will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the following locations:
- ECMC, 462 Grider Street, Buffalo
- Hamburg Fairgrounds, 5820 S Park Ave, Hamburg
- Bertrand Chaffee Hospital, 224 East Main Street, Springville
- Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, 1540 Maple Road, Amherst
- Kenmore Mercy Hospital, 2950 Elmwood Avenue, Kenmore
- Mercy Ambulatory Care Center, 3669 Southwestern Boulevard, Orchard Park
- St. Joseph’s Hospital, 2605 Harlem Road, Cheektowaga
- D’Youville College, 320 Porter Avenue, Buffalo
- West Seneca Town Ice Rink, 1250 Union Road, West Seneca
