Legislator Mills announces 5th Annual Collins Library Hot Dog Roast Fundraiser

Erie County Legislator John J. Mills, R-District 13, announces that his fifth annual Collins Library Hot Dog Roast Fundraiser will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 18, at the library, 2341 Main St., Collins. All proceeds benefit the library.

“The hot dog roast fundraiser at Collins Library grows every year and has become a spectacular event,” Legislator Mills said. “Stop by for great music, activities and a hot dog, and support your local library. I am always impressed with the level of community support shown during this event.”

Legislator Mills will again be selling hot dogs for $1, and Italian sausage with peppers and onions for $2; both meals include a bottle of ice cold Mayer Brothers Spring Water.

The event will be held rain or shine.

In addition to the Hot Dog Roast Fundraiser, a bake sale planned by Friends of the Collins Library will be held in the lobby of the library. The library will also present Music in the Library with the popular band, “Creek Bend” from noon to 2 p.m. Then at 11 a.m., The Wondermakers will share folktales from Japan, Mexico and Poland.

“Legislator Mills understands that helping the libraries in Erie County is not only important to many people in the county, but of vital importance as the libraries strive to fulfill their mission to serve all of the people of Erie County. The hot dog roast is always a fun day for all,” said Library Director Karen McClure. “The Friends of the Library will have a bake sale with some homemade desserts.   Enjoy a delicious lunch and an event filled day at the library.”
