Legislator Mills announces Concord Library surpasses $10,000

Erie County Legislator John J. Mills is pleased to announce that with this year’s total, his hot dog roast fundraisers have raised more than $10,000 for the Concord Library. The 2015 event, held July 16, was a complete sellout and raised $1,488.

“Each year the Concord Library fundraiser has raised the most of any of the libraries in my district and this year was no exception, bringing in an outstanding $1,488. Thank you to each and every person who attended the fundraiser and supported the library. We had a great evening and the library has truly made this one of the community’s best summer events,” said Legislator Mills. “I want to thank all the local officials who volunteered behind the grill and for helping to ensure the event was a success.”

Legislator Mills presented the 2015 donation to Concord Library Director Bridgette Heintz on August 13. Concord’s total for nine years of Hot Dog Roast Fundraisers is $10,405.

“Mr. Mills’ hot dog roast is the highly anticipated event of the summer and we are so grateful for his continued support throughout the years.  I would like to offer a huge thank you to everyone involved including all the volunteers, Mr. Mills’ office staff, and the local politicians who took the time out of their busy schedules to support this fundraiser.  Be on the lookout for more programming and improvements at the library this year,” said Heintz.

Over the years the Hot Dog Roast Fundraisers have raised more than $57,900 for the libraries in Legislator Mills’ district.
