Legislator Mills announces county to complete Eden Evans Center Road repairs

Erie County Legislator John J. Mills said he recently received an update from the Department of Public Works that Eden Evans Center Road will be repaired this summer from Derby Road to Route 62 in Eden. This will complete the repaving of the roadway, which has deteriorated significantly over the years.

“Eden Evans Center Road has been a trouble spot. It’s a main roadway in my district with a lot of terrible sections. The county has slowly worked on repairing the roadway, and while I had pushed for an expedited timeline during the past few years, I am pleased to see the section between Derby Road and Route 62 will finally be repaved this summer,” said Legislator Mills.

Eden Evans Center Road from the Thruway to Route 5 was repaired between 2011-2014, leaving the final section untouched. In the winter, Eden Evans Center Road becomes especially treacherous and Legislator Mills is pleased that motorists won’t have to endure another snowy season driving on the roadway in its current condition.
