Last week, the Legislature approved funding that will allow the county to continue bridge repairs on Trevett Road over Eighteen Mile Creek in the Town of Boston.
The funding was used to purchase a right-of-way (ROW) acquisition in order for the county Department of Public Works to complete the project. The entirety of Trevett Road is currently closed due to unsafe conditions.
“I’m happy to support any funding that will allow this project to move forward,” said Legislator Mills. “However, I am disappointed the administration has not provided a timeline for Trevett Road to re-open. As seen in the news this week, first responders are experiencing delayed response times due to the road being closed. This is unacceptable and it is a public safety concern.”
