Legislator Mills announces North Collins, Eden Hot Dog Roasts details

Erie County Legislator John J. Mills announces that this year’s North Collins Hot Dog Roast Fundraiser will feature a performance by “In Jest” at 6 p.m. The library’s Hot Dog Roast Fundraiser will be held from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 26 at the library, 2095 School Street, North Collins.

 

In Jest” features Nels Ross and his comedy variety show showcasing incredible juggling and edge-of-your-seat stunts. The event will also include a bake sale from 4 to 7 p.m.

 

“Last year was North Collins’ first Hot Dog Roast Fundraiser and it was a huge success. This year I am anticipating we’ll break last year’s record and raise even more for the library. Please plan to stop by, it will be a wonderful evening of great food, people and entertainment,” said Legislator Mills. “So far this year’s events in Collins and Boston were outstanding and I expect each of the libraries to do very well thanks to the support of the community.”

 

Also planned is Eden Library’s Hot Dog Roast Fundraiser from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 10 at the library, 2901 E. Church St., Eden. In case of rain, the event will be held at Eden United Methodist Church, 2820 East Church St.  

 

The event will feature local yo-yo champion John Hasselback. Eden Library will be giving away prizes throughout the fundraiser, and complimentary cookies and lemonade will be provided.

 

At both fundraisers, Sahlen’s hot dogs will be sold for $1 and Italian sausage for $2; both meals include a bottle of spring water. The events are held rain or shine.

Legislator Mills has been hosting Hot Dog Roast Fundraisers in his district for seven years with nearly $40,000 raised. Proceeds from the fundraiser directly benefit the host library, helping to support its mission of supplying quality programming and materials to patrons.
