Legislator Mills announces Orchard Park Library event raises $1,305

Erie County Legislator John J. Mills is pleased to announce that the 9th annual Orchard Park Library Hot Dog Roast Fundraiser totaled $1,305 to support the library’s efforts to provide quality programming and materials for patrons.

“The Orchard Park Library event was another great success, setting a new record this year. I want to thank everyone who attended and supported the library and I look forward to breaking the 2015 record next year,” said Legislator Mills.

Legislator Mills presented the 2015 donation to Orchard Park Library Director Peggy Errington on Sept. 10. The library’s total for nine years is $8,729.

“Mr. Mills’ hot dog roast is always a highly anticipated community event.  We greatly appreciate his continued support and sincere commitment to all the libraries in his district.  The Orchard Park Library is making a big push toward enhancing science and technology resources and programming (STEM).  These funds will particularly help the library be more responsive to our community's emerging technology needs,” said Director Errington.

Over the years the Hot Dog Roast Fundraisers have raised more than $57,700 for the libraries in Legislator Mills’ district.
