Legislator Mills honors Trooper Sullivan for saving toddler’s life

Trooper SullivanErie County Legislator John J. Mills presented a proclamation to New York State Trooper Christopher Sullivan in recognition of his efforts to save a young girl’s life. A ceremony was held at the NYS Police Barracks located in the Town of Boston on Friday, June 22, 2012.

 

“On behalf of the Erie County Legislature, I want to recognize Trooper Sullivan’s quick thinking and heroism. What could have been a tragedy ended as a miracle, thanks to his actions,” said Legislator Mills.

 

Trooper Sullivan, a father of three young children, responded to a call on May 23, 2012 for a young girl who had been pulled, unconscious from the family’s swimming pool. Trooper Sullivan immediately performed CPR and revived the child before she was transported to Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo. According to reports, she has made a full recovery.
