Legislator Mills invites residents to take guided walk at Sprague Brook Park

Erie County Legislator John J. Mills announces that a free guided walk in Sprague Brook Park will be held on Saturday, June 30. The purpose of the program is to encourage residents to be more active and healthy.

 

 

“Sprague Brook Park is truly an all-inclusive park, featuring active and passive recreation. This is a great opportunity to learn about the park and what it has to offer,” Legislator Mills said. “Walking along the many hiking trails, attendees will notice the large variety of animal and plant life seen throughout the park.”

 

 

 

Registration begins at 9 a.m. at the park, 9674 Foote Road, Glenwood, NY 14069. Signs will be positioned at the park’s entrance directing attendees to the starting point.

 

 

 

Be Active Erie County! is a series of guided walks for all ages in beautiful County Parks. At these walks attendees will be able to learn more about how to get healthy and stay healthy, and receive health screenings targeting blood pressure and BMI. Assorted health education materials and smoking cessation services, products, and cessation program enrollment is available at each walk.
