Legislator Mills presents donation to Angola Library to support building fund

Erie County Legislator John J. Mills is pleased to announce that the 2nd annual Angola Library Hot Dog Roast Fundraiser, held July 26, raised $1,131 to support the library’s efforts to provide quality programming to the greater Evans and Angola community. The donation was presented to Library Director Mary Truby on Aug. 30 during a presentation at the library. Also attending the presentation were Village of Angola Trustee Carole Kin, who serves as liaison to the library; Library Board President Jack Kuebler and Library Board Trustee Donna Nagel.

“Thanks to the support of the community, the second annual Hot Dog Roast Fundraiser at the Angola Library raised $1,131. We had a great afternoon and I want to thank everyone who stopped to make a donation. I am pleased to announce that Angola set a new record, surpassing last year’s total of $916, and I expect to do even better next year,” said Legislator Mills.

“The community really enjoyed the Hot Dog Fundraiser. I received many comments on what an enjoyable family oriented event it was,” said Library Director Truby.

Library Board President Kuebler added that the funds will be added to the Library’s Building Fund and will be used to further furnish the library, including the new meeting/program room, as well as support extended hours of operation.

Legislator Mills’ Hot Dog Roast Fundraisers have raised nearly $40,000 for the libraries in his district. He purchases the supplies and donates 100 percent of the proceeds.
