Legislator Mills urges county Department of Public Works to address roads in the Town of Eden

Last week, the Eden Town Board sent a resolution to Legislator Mills and the Erie County Department of Public Works to outline numerous road and infrastructure concerns throughout the town.

Town Board representatives listed specific roads in need of repair, primarily ones with potholes and lack of visibility at intersections. Among the roads and issues listed are numerous potholes on Derby Road, potholes and holes along the shoulder of New Oregon Road, poor visibility at Mill and Bley Roads and holes along Shadagee Road.  The board also noted all county roads are in ‘desperate need’ of mowing, ditching, shoulders, tree trimming and/or removal. The full resolution and list can be viewed here.

“I am equally frustrated with the condition of these roads,” said Legislator Mills.  “My office receives numerous complaints on a weekly basis regarding the safety of roads throughout my district. The county has enough money to address the problems, but they continue to be ignored by the administration. I thank the Town of Eden for sharing these concerns and will continue my advocacy for repairs.”
